Here are two PacMan remakes for you…
First, there is Deluxe PacMan. (Windows only, needs DirectX). Apparently, this game has 114 levels – now that should keep you busy for a bit!
And then there is a 3D PacMan called PacManiac.
Here are two PacMan remakes for you…
First, there is Deluxe PacMan. (Windows only, needs DirectX). Apparently, this game has 114 levels – now that should keep you busy for a bit!
And then there is a 3D PacMan called PacManiac.
The name of the game is: (Oh No) More Invaders from Space, and it is by far the most fast-paced Space Invaders clone I’ve ever played. The graphics are pretty neat, too! The game has some additional elements such as power-ups, various weapons and apparently, from the site’s description, you have to protect cows from [...]
Work has been pretty hectic these days, but I hope to find some time soon to test out some games-in-waiting and a new emulator. In the meantime, check out all these free games from BGames.
Note that they aren’t all portable; I only had the chance to try out Purebreaker III – a Breakout/Arkanoid clone [...]
MegaFenix Reloaded is based on the 1991 game called MegaPhoenix from Dynamic. The game looks a bit like Galaxian, so of course it has to be fun!
It’s portable, but it’s a bit big at 55MB. Great graphics and lots up power-ups. What’s different than traditional Galaxian is that if you get hit, you get [...]
Ghost V2
This is a fun little pac-man-like arcade game with a ghost theme and an X-Files sound track. Check out the screenshots on the Caiman site. (Note: the game requires DirectX)
Mummy-Pac
Another Pac-Man clone for Halloween
This fantastic Cauldron Remake. was featured on the RetroRemakes blog recently.
Cauldron is a combination of side-scrolling action, platforms and mazes and plenty of old hags (you start off with 9 lives) in which you have to collect ingredients so that you can defeat an evil pumpkin. You can only land (and take off) in [...]
Here’s a portable game for the weekend for racing fans: G-Speed. It’s spaceship racing fun with plenty of tracks to choose from. Check out all the screenshots on the site!
Everybody knows you can’t have enough Galaxian games in your collection!
I’ve already featured a few on this blog, such as the king of all Galaxian remakes: Minionsoft’s Galaxian and an excellent creative twist on Galaxian called Carax. And now…there’s another remake!
The RetroRemakes blog pointed out a brand spanking new Galaxian game from acoders.com called…Galaxian [...]

Nebulus or Tower Toppler was a popular platform game from the 1980s where this little green guy named Pogo had to make his way to the top of a series of towers in order to destroy them. Along the way, he had to overcome weird shapes that tried to prevent him from reaching the [...]
Qix was a game where you had to capture enemies by boxing them in with lines. Here’s a portable remake of that game called XIQ.
Well, this blog has been running for one year! I thought it might be good to put together a top 10 list of the best games I’ve reviewed, or at least my personal favorites. Feel free to give your own opinions! Here they are, in no particular order:
1. Galaxian
2. BurgerTime!
3. Aztec Challenge
4. Jumpman
5. LightCycle 3D
6. [...]
At just over 2 MB, Little Plane is a small and very simple game: navigate a plane inside a cave using only the mouse button; press the button to fly up, release it to go down. I like this game except for the fact that every time you crash, you have to navigate through 3 [...]
